Biography
Kelly Lashly is proof that what happens as a teenager does play a part in who a person becomes as an adult. Not only does she work directly with youth and teach students to influence the next generation of leaders, but she was also influenced during these years of her life. As Kelly became highly involved in her church life in high school, she grew to have a deep passion to be involved in God’s work. This passion set the stage for her to respond to God’s call. Since college, Kelly has served as a youth pastor in South Dakota and Alberta, Canada, as a camp staff pastor, and as a college campus pastor. As the Instructor of Youth Ministries and Director of the Young Leaders Project, Kelly continues to influence the next generation of ministry leaders. Each summer since arriving at Sioux Falls Seminary in 2002, Kelly has devoted one month’s time to take a group of students, grades 10-12, on the adventure of a lifetime. This adventure called the Young Leaders Project gives teens the opportunity to grow and deepen their spiritual lives while serving others.
