Grants & Scholarships

Grants

Sioux Falls Seminary has 3 grants students may qualify for, but students are only eligible to receive one per year. Grants are awarded to full time students with at least 9 credits per semester. Students who receive a grant are still eligible for merit based and ministry scholarships.

  • Sioux Falls Seminary Tuition Grant
  • A grant in the amount of 25% of a student's tuition cost will be offered to NAB students going into the Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in Christian Leadership programs. A student receiving this grant must be a member of an NAB church intending to serve in an NAB church or other approved ministry upon graduation.

  •
  • Partners in Ministry
  • This grant is designed to help churches support their students by partnering with Sioux Falls Seminary in providing affordable seminary education. The goal of the Matching Grant is to reduce tuition by up to 75%. Sioux Falls Seminary will match at a 50% rate up to half of student's tuition cost that is given by a student's church and/or denomination during the academic year. This means if a church gives 50% of a student's tuition, the seminary will give 25%.

  •
  • Emerging Leaders Grant
  • The purpose of this grant is to encourage recent college graduates sensing a call to ministry to pursue theological education. Students must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university to be eligible for the grant and must enter seminary within two years of graduating. Full time students who meet these criteria will get a 20% reduction in their tuition cost.

Merit Based Scholarships

Merit scholarships are awarded in the fall semester only. The application for admission is the application for scholarships. Students must submit their completed application by April 30th to be considered. Merit scholarships are awarded to full time students only. Merit scholarship recipients are also eligible for grants and ministry scholarships.

Ministry Scholarships

Sioux Falls Seminary in partnership with denominations, churches, and para church organizations have a variety of scholarships specifically designed to assist students involved in particular ministries, or moving from certain geographical locations. Students who receive more than one ministry scholarship are not eligible to receive grants, but may still be eligible for merit based awards.
